Started as a trainee at Millwall + joined the first team squad in March 1993. Played in 53 games for the Lions scoring 4 goals.
Joined Sheffield Utd in August 1995, but did not appear in the first team until Nov 96 having gone on the transfer list at the beginning of the season. He played in 39 matches, often as substitute, normally in midfield rather than as a full back.
Still transfer listed he joined Southend on a two month loan in Oct 97 and played regularly in midfield. He performed adequately in a very underachieving team.
However in talking to Mark, who is most personable, it seemed he got on well with Alvin Martin so it came as no surprise to see him given a full contract with SUFC in July 1998 when released by Sheffield Utd.
He appears tenacious + a good tackler, but still has something to prove to the fans before he is taken to their hearts.
