Former Arsenal trainee who won England caps at Schoolboy + Youth level + was a member of their FA Youth Cup winning team in 1994. Appeared 9 times in the Gunners first team, but never gained a regular place.
Loaned to Rotherham in Dec 96 then to the Blues in Mar 97. Released by Arsenal he opted to sign for SUFC in July 1997 despite offers from Wigan, Ipswich Town and Cambridge United.
Appeared regularly in the first team during the relegation season 1997/98, but never regularly showed the brilliant form he was very obviously capable of achieving.
