Trevor, a tall forward, is a product of Southend's youth policy joined the club in 1966. He became a member of the first team squad in 1997/98, but had to settle for one full + two substitute appearances that season, all in January 1998.
He agreed a new contract in July 1998 + with Southend's appalling shortage of strikers at the start of the 1998/99 third division campaign became a regular on the substitutes bench. His sixth appearance as sub. in the 78th minute against the then division leaders Rotherham was the highlight of Trevor's career to date. Two goals within 5 minutes sent the crowd wild + hopefully set Trevor on the road to a long successful career.
